How South OC Tree Service works
We are a referral and matching service. We do not trim, remove or grind anything ourselves. We connect you with an independent, licensed local tree professional who does.
Referral service. Work is done by independent CSLB-licensed providers.
The short version
- You call or send the form with your city, the tree work you need and how to reach you.
- We pass your request to an independent tree professional who serves your area and holds an active CSLB license.
- The provider contacts you directly, visits if needed, and gives you a quote. Any agreement, price, schedule and warranty is between you and the provider.
What we are and are not
- We are a referral service for tree trimming, tree removal, palm trimming, stump grinding, emergency tree work and HOA tree service in South Orange County.
- We are not a contractor and do not perform tree work, give arborist assessments or hold a contractor's license.
- Providers we refer to are independent contractors licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) in the C-27 Landscaping or C-49 Tree and Palm classification (or the older D-49 Tree Service classification, which existing license holders may still work under).
- It is free for you. Providers may pay us for referrals or for advertising on this site.
Our referral standards
Before referring work, we confirm the provider's CSLB license is active in an appropriate classification and ask for current proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance [verify]. You should still check the license yourself on CSLB's website and ask for the provider's insurance certificate before work starts.
Why we say it this way
California law limits who can advertise contracting work. Business and Professions Code §7027.1 makes it a misdemeanor for an unlicensed person to advertise construction or work of improvement covered by the contractor licensing law. That is why this site describes a matching service and points you to licensed providers instead of claiming to do the work.
